Poem Artwork

Bathe me in your beauty
In the early morning light,
When,
Fully rested,
Every sense is alive,
And at peace,
And possessed of voracious hunger,
Tempered by natural tranquility.

It is only you,
And I know not how to say it
Otherwise.
I succumb to the fall,
Knowing that you will catch me,
To sleep,
Knowing that you are there,
To living,
Because you are undisturbed by surprises.
I seek adventure,
For rescue is near.

We are what others speak of,
Dreaming in anguish
Of how things might one day be.
We are what poets write of,
In stanzas filled with loving lyric;
What adolescents hope for,
When their thoughts turn
To unencumbered passion.
We are,
What we always hoped that we would be:
None more,
And none less,
And it is enough.

The splendor of the heavens
Is naught,
Without you by my side,
For sharing in wonder,
As a child marvels at the sea,
First seen,
Is my joy,
And my life.

Frank, that's lovely. Strong last three lines. You begin each stanza with a beautiful thought or picture, and then in the succeeding lines, you define that beauty, ending each stanza with a powerful sentence. And your photo is breath-taking. Are those the Blues? I wish you well. --Charlie
