If only my words would sing,
That tune which haunts you
Throughout your arduous day,
Repeating the joys
And laments of your heart,
Marking forever,
The essential moments of your life.

If only my words would sing,
A tune of their very own,
And you would say
This is my song,
And this is my
Love and my loss,
I would rejoice
Deep within my soul.

If only my words would sing,
The sweetest melodies
Of your heart,
My greatest joy
Would forever flow,
Notes,
Dancing on the wind.

This is gorgeous, Frank. This needs to go in your collection-- you may want to edit out some of the commas, but other than that, this one shines. I hope you've put together a chapbook. You can make one with your own computer and printer and the copy-shop down town. The first person you should contact is your librarian-- a free copy there, and a scheduled reading-- invite some friends, and locals will trickle in. You could also set up a booth at your fair-- sell them cheep-- to cover cost and a possible second edition, and you're on your way. I wish you the best of luck!
