Poem Artwork

Buried deeply,
Resting sweetly,
So I observe the morn.
Rising slowly,
Uttering prayer so holy,
Heart encircled by piercing
Thorns.

New day dawning,
Soul left wanting,
All that I have lost.
Spirit reeling,
My loss of feeling,
So high has been the
Cost.

In water wading,
Amble souls awaiting,
Relief from the yoke of sin.
Raise me up,
Refill my cup,
Reborn am I
Again.

And so I sleep,
Within the night so deep,
My Savior at my side.
And pain, and loss, and loneliness,
Recede in the face of my genesis,
Soul blessed as with saints
I abide.

The softness and yet sharpness of pain of loss is evident in your write. How well you express those emotions...

Frank-- you catch the ebb and flow that comes from the pain of loss. The poem moved me. Brahms, Third Symphony,,,first movement,,, I always believed that's what the music spoke of (I think I'm still right)--check it out. I'd love to hear what you think. --Charlie

Starting with prayer in morning and ending in eve is what I do, God does help you get through the day, The saints are alive and doing their best to help you to. You are a saint in fact, everyone who believes in God is a saint. I was told this by a pastor years ago when I asked him what a saint was.
