Four Dimensional Wonderland

Poem Artwork

Days ascend
Like so many columns,
Reverential in their display,
Proud in their chronicle,
Building testaments
That only we can perceive;
Elemental changes
In the fabric of our lives.

I gasp for shallow breath,
Stunned by the immensity
Of what it is that I have done;
Some good,
Some deplorable,
As I trod ever forward
On my experiential way.

This is four dimensional
Wonderland,
And I would invite you along,
But alas, our divergent means
Demand that we say farewell;
Long together have we been,
But restless are our souls.

Tomorrow I’ll live on
Cobblestones,
While you will pave your way;
As I seek a hillside village,
You long for salt and sea:
But retrospective mirror
Images have we,
In tandem splendor
Through the galaxy,
As our days
Do rise in columns,
And night divides the day,
All else succumbs
To rust and fire,
In universal orgy
Of elemental display.
