Poem Artwork

When he dozes off into a sleep,

Like stump of rotten tree

His bodily frame is,

Like lime when slaked

His mind becomes.

When he is suddenly awake,

Real is his wisdom, solid and true ,

Nor cares what's hidden to pursue --

I've had a heart-to-heart talk to him,

And I know that it is so.

Such dim and dark his aimless mind!

For this simple reason,

Not every Tom, Dick and Harry

From him can counsel find.

What sort of man is he at his 123?

Interesting poem. As a Caregiver, I've seen brilliant minds victims of Alzheimer's disease...................cruel thief it is.

Love ya!

Aimlessness is a dreadful state of mind. To focus on the light that still shines is essential as the world inside, and around us, dims. If you can, then you are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream. Enjoyed your thoughts, Alexander. Peace to you. rlc

That's me, hat and all. How did you know? This is what I've got to show, after all those years in the know. John
