The newborn children will cry all the day
Without the throat becoming hoarse --
So perfect is the poise of their physical state.
The only thing they are afraid of is that
They will not be heard in their parents' haste.
They keep their fingers bent tightly
Without relaxing their grasp --
Such is the focus of their inner strength.
And the only thing the newborn children
Are afraid of is that they will fall down
And not be picked up. They will keep
Their eyes fixed for a while without moving --
So they are unaffected by what is external
To them. And the only thing they are afraid of
Is that they will miss what it is all at.
Those of men who walk and know not where
And what for, rest where they are placed
And know not why, they feel a true gladness
And happiness as they are calmly indifferent
To what is going them by, and follow
Their current condition, as it occurs to come,
Producing a regular method of guarding their life.
