Poem Artwork

In a clear understanding

Of the principle of life,

Is our pursuit any better

Than germ warfare in vinegar?

Since the ideas of high office,

Career and packet did never

Enter my mind, I've been glad

To became a simple woodcutter

To have only my skill with axe

And rope, and my felling site

Was always in a good shape.

This example of mine

Made some others forget

The meanness of their lower state

And put their lives into their hands

While crossing what is called

The Great Ford of Life.

When neither gains nor losses

Enter into your mind, you start

To be able to influence other lives.

How can I know that this is so?

When my teacher has lifted the veil

Of what screened me from knowing

About the principle of life, and

How things work in this world,

I became complete, meeting armed

With any worldly impediment.

Wisdom lies in doing and seeking. The principles of life lies all around us, we need only "lift the veil." John

We all have to do something and be somewhere. So... there I was, at work, working hard, hands dirty, my brow sweating, my mind an unruffled pool. A thunderbolt struck me! My middle eye shot wide, revealing, just an ordinary self. Wise words, Alexander. Peace to you... r
