Though destruction
And generation
Oppose each other,
Like Water and Fire,
It's natural to ask:
How to achieve harmony
And get a balance of life
For a man of the age you are?
There is a moral
To every single story
Which tells us that
One's beneficial position
Cannot be treated as a remedy
In each particular circumstance.
Everything takes its place
And achieves its proper aim
In a thoroughly integrated
But naturally limited
Abilities and ambitions.
For this reason, one needs
To see the whole picture
To make the only right decision
And thus avoid one-sidedness
Of mind. In the sense,
Some strategists of old
Fairly states, saying, 'If you know
Your opponent's moves beforehand
And have designed those of yourself,
You will be out of all back-blows.
If you think thru your own strategy
But not thru that of your opponent,
For every scored success
You also will suffer a failure.
If you know neither his strength
Nor that of yourself, you will lose
Every single chance
To gain the upper hand
And your proper place in the sun.

I believe that I'm going through that in spades as age begins to rob all of my faculties to the point where I may not be able to write anymore in the near future. At least in the way I have come to expect. But all things must pass.
