Oh - I did finally see her during my 30-day Leave, around Christmas of '60 - but my begging and pleading were to no avail.
About 23 years later, at my Uncle's funeral, I saw her - DAMN, she still looked good! An old Glow of an Ember STIRRED within! She was a neighbor to him - Small World, huh?
A Hug and a Kiss, and an Introduction to my WIFE was just a tad awkward. Especially after I realized that my Second Love could very well have been a --
CARBON COPY!
Did THEY Notice, I wonder?
Now, 48 years later, and Divorced - I occasionally cruise her neighborhood - hoping she's available, and FREE ALSO!
