A Feast of Eyes Sometimes it may be misunderstood That my eyes appear to stare Locked in primordial ogle Captive in magic air As my eyes devour the essence of you The animal governs my daze 'Tis really a compliment in disguise This approving, innocent gaze Perhaps the animal in you - as well Senses my nature as eyes feast Perchance you're flattered and know It's just the way of the beast
