I am an incorrigible romantic and make no apologies for it. That man and woman are each "half" and can only be "whole" when together is one of my beliefs. This is another poem I wrote for my wife.

LAST NIGHT

Goose bumps
Of pleasure
Borne by love
Prickled my skin
Covered my body

I swooned
As your arm
Snaked around my neck
And we hugged
With eyes closed
From the overpowering
Ecstasy
We shared

I wanted so much
For you to care
To make special
What we shared
To enjoy
As I enjoyed
Then spontaneously
You pulled me close
And pressed
Warm
Quivering lips
To my cheek

Wordless smiles
Blended
With the sighs
And the
"I love you"
As we snuggled
Until our bliss
Became dreams
