Although I am an incurable romantic, I have always been a little shy when first meeting an new lady. Of course that went away fast . . . This little poem commemerates that. This is another example of the poems in "Acorns of Love and Wisdom."

SHY TALKING

As my gaze strolled about the room
I tripped over your eyes
And slammed into a wall of love

Swarming thought
Confused my moment
Floundering lips sought in vain
To convey emotions for which
Words had never been built
And I tumbled self consciously
In a confused array
Of small talk

Yet--amazing!
You listen to the language of eyes
You - we
Communicate from touch
From sense to sense
And words
Don't matter

Sweet ecstacy
How unique it feels
To have shared
A communique of love
