Our Love

Two friends we were who shared a common bond
As kindred spirits writing what we feel,
We turn our pens in to a magic wand
And make the greatest dreams appear so real.

As time swept on and more and more was shared-
Each let the other look so deep inside,
It had to be that fate would have us paired,
And growing love could not remain denied.

We could not bring ourselves to say, “Goodbye.”
It hurt to have our conversations end,
And soon we had to face the reason why…
You are much more to me than just a friend.

We wrestled with the tension that would build,
So much at stake we didn’t want to lose-
And yet our greatest dreams might be fulfilled,
A risk to take, and one that we would choose.

Who let it spill? It’s funny I don’t know.
Confession came as fate declared it must.
My telling you that I have loved you so
Was comfortable because we have such trust.

And talk about a dream of love come true ,
When you reply you feel the same for me,
I know I’ll always be in love with you,
The very thought of you brings ecstasy.

You’ve saved me in a thousand different ways,
So wrapped within this precious perfect spell
I’ll live for you all my remaining days…
Our love, I think it’s going rather well.
