Believe

Depths of slumber bringing promise
There will be another dawn.
Waking up as doubting Thomas
With your nightmare really gone.

Finding what you least expected,
What you lost is here again.
Let us be in love connected,
I am not like other men.

Those who looked but never saw you,
Beauty I can hardly bear,
But I look as all they ought to
With an angels loving care.

Let the truth of me bring blessing
For the one you really are,
All my love for you confessing
What you wished for on a star.

Out of death came One arisen
With the course of love revealed.
You will be released from prison,
This for what I’ve always kneeled.

Now the dreams that you’ve been feeling
Waft into the light of day.
My own heart that you’ve been stealing
Here will show your own the way.

I think it's because you saw her soul..
while others saw only the shell...

A beautiful, rhyming poem John!

A beautiful poem John. Beauty is in the eyes of the beholders. It's only one who thinks pure can find purity in everything.

We all have no control over what others think of us, but we must all believe in ourselves of who we are; for through believing in ourselves can we be of certainties about our own goodness and our own futures. Life is what we make of it.

John,

This made me speechless
and in total awe to the
beauty of this poem.
Gorgeous and rendering.
