Champagne chilled beside the bed
Roses strewn across the floor
This is everything I said
To that lady I adore.

Guess she heard me, every word
Never felt so much alive
Sweetest thing I’ve ever heard
“I’ll be meeting you at five.”

Every moment through the day
Knowing that the time will come
How I love to feel this way
I can’t help it I just hum.

Soon enough I see her walking
And that moment she sees me
At a loss for even talking
Wondering how this can be.

Dinner, movie, then we go
To a place, tonight it’s mine
All that’s happening we know
Makes this evening so divine.
