A Place In My Heart

I think we all are prone to dreams
At least it’s true for me
No matter the defeats it seems
There’s some resiliency

Some tiny place inside my heart
Where hope will still reside
And life anew will somehow start
Although I thought it died

We all have places we could find
If we’ll embrace each day
As if it was the last designed
To ever come our way

I’m thinking of a friend I’ve made
Of life becoming ours
And all about the role she played
In giving me my powers

Of all that’s good that I have learned
So much because of her
The dream for which we both had yearned
Was destined to occur

I’m thinking of the friend you are
At times, my saving grace
Inside my heart, not somewhere far
Will always be your place.

John,

This is so beautiful and it is truly wonderful to have a friend so special one that can be there for us. Giving us the strength we need when were weak. They always lay hold of our heart and remain yes they do. Excellent poem! I have to agree she is touched by this poem.
