Time stops along a rocky coast

A salty fragrance, moist as dew

This font of life- to all the host-

And not the least- of me and you.

Ten billion eyes, some forms that glow-

In parts so frigid- parts so warm-

In depths where none of us can go-

At peace beneath the fiercest storm.

It’s here was born fertility-

In liquid stew of ages past,

Our fluid of virility-

It’s here the die of love was cast.

Beloved, will you meet me here?

Returned to life- returned to this?

As partners both respecting fear-

So time will stop as lovers kiss.
