Man I'm toast.

Used To You

Did Heaven think we both were bored?
Who ever thought of “Us”? Oh Lord-
What ever Gods said- “Mix those two”?
But still, I’m getting used to you.

From spark to flame, to roaring fire-
‘Till blinded by intense desire-
A greater storm there never blew-
But still, I’m getting used to you.

It’s Heaven, Hell, and all between-
Like nothing I have ever seen-
I’ve died each time I thought, “We’re through.”
But still, I’m getting used to you.

We’re dueling hearts, but what’s the prize?
You kill me with those precious eyes-
I’m caught, much worse than crazy glue-
But still, I’m getting used to you.

I can’t believe I feel this way-
Completely captured every day-
It’s always- always- you know who.
But still, I’m getting used to you.

Of all the love two hearts could find-
Who knew- that we would get this kind?
Each second- dazzled- right on cue-
But still, I’m getting used to you.

How can two hearts get used to this?
It’s love- my angel- not to miss-
You’re every dream in life come true .
Thank God, I’m getting used to you.

Love is a whole series of steps that we tend to climb one day at a time, sometimes pausing to rest on a landing, sometimes stumbling on a crack but always moving higher and higher until someday we reach the main floor....

Your writing is so full of gifts and talent John ;-)
You have an absolutely charming kind of creativity!!!

Maybe your relationship is a path for both of you to experience a deeper life. You can help each other become your true selves if you are lights to each other.
Blessings,
Christine
