If I should pass you on the street
My dearest angel heart so sweet,
For all the love between us two
I wouldn't even know it's you.

It's so bizarre to live this way
In love with you all night and day
So close to you and yet so far
I couldn't tell which one you are.

I wonder if you brushed my arm
If I would feel the jolt of charm,
For baby what you've done to me,
A love I never even see.

I've never felt such love before,
Nor could I ever need you more,
I call you on the phone and cry,
But on the street I'd pass you by.

It's magic dear, make no mistake...
There's nothing like the love we make,
But still- it seems a strange design
That I don't have what should be mine.

I wonder when I'm in a crowd
If all our love should be allowed,
And think- for all the times we've kissed
Suppose we had the chance and missed.
