Presence A lock of hair, a lipstick kiss- I can’t believe you sent me this, But as I breathe your sweet perfume It feels as though you’re in the room. But I know where you really are At any moment, near or far, Beside me now or miles apart You always live inside my heart. Each searching heart will someday find The perfect love that God designed. There’s no mistaking when it’s true - This is the love I’ve found in you. So let them go, your dread and fear. Don’t shed another wasted tear- The love you have with me today Will never ever go away. Ohmigod, John... This is absolutely beautiful! (I'm not the least bit ashamed to tell you that I'm crying as I type - it has touched my every emotion.) I can't imagine a more perfect poem of committed love. This is a poem I would want my love to write for me. How I envy her...
