Immortal

A starry night can take my breath away,
A sunrise tease the dreams that lie within,
But I am at a loss for what to say
About your love, for how can I begin

To speak of what I hardly dare believe?
Describe the indescribable I feel?
For how much blessing can a man receive?
Can such a vision truly be for real?

But yes my love, I do believe in you.
And everything I feel inside this heart-
That loving you is all I’m meant to do,
And who we are can never be apart.

I’ve seen such beauty, that is how I know
What you possess is quite beyond compare,
And I will love you, never letting go-
Just seeking ways to show how much I care.

Let others ponder strength of family ties-
This bond, from all I’ve known, is stronger still-
So I can know, though what is mortal dies,
The wonder of our loving never will.
