Down in the valley of lonesome tears,
deeply entwined in our mortal soul,
emotions rage against our inter fears,
battles fought as sanity takes it’s toll.

World of happenstance is were we live,
where it’s easy to gain fortune and fame,
or be for want, with nothing to give,
rags and riches prevail in the falling rain.

Success and wealth doesn't make the sun shine,
complicated minds lost in emotional rapture,
value and virtues colliding in moment’s time,
hearts filled with love are never captured.

Man’s internal conflict shall never cease,
it haunts his soul never leaving his head,
selfish acts of greed prevent the peace,
sadly no one learns, not ever from the dead.

Finding inter peace could show the way,
emotions controlled by love, rather than hate,
the key to real value shared in a given day,
for greed, anger, and hate are left at the gate.
