God’s Easter Gift


Jesus Christ rose from the dead today,
dying for our sins upon a wooden cross,
providing us the light to show the way,
so we might be saved, our soul not lost.

God’s love for us is beyond all compare,
sacrificing his only son, a gift from above,
so we live eternally, His treasures shared,
teaching one and all the meaning of love.

So much to be thankful in the life we live,
the order of the Universe, it’s perfect design,
created out of love by our God who gives,
bread the body of Christ, blood turned to wine.

To believe we must open our eyes to see,
the beauty surrounding God’s chosen path,
His love shows us the way it’s meant to be,
for God protects us from evil’s ugly wrath.

So I say, Happy Easter to one and to all,
and thank you Lord, my savior, my friend,
because of the Son of God we will not fall,
He alone gives our soul the strength to mend.
