America is the land of our birth,
where the sun always shines bright,
the most beautiful place on this earth,
for our basic freedom is always in sight.
Our lives filled with honor and pride,
embracing and hearing freedom ring,
sadly at a cost where many have died,
for the price of sweet liberty has a sting
Our young soldiers bleed for our cause,
tyranny never hears the family pleads,
as terrorist attack without even a pause,
but Americans will never fall to their knees.
Our hearts willing to stand the test of time,
knowing freedom makes life worth living,
for liberty is more than just a state of mind,
it’s the ultimate power rising from giving.
We our proud Americans consumed with passion,
standing forever tall, even in the falling rain,
our spirit is strong but filled with compassion,
for in the end, Peace and Liberty are worth the pain.
Yes, Samuel, Peace and Liberty are definitely worth the pain, well said. Nonetheless, I mourn all who have fallen to maintain liberty and all who were lost on 9-11 as well. Freedom is never free, the price tag is staggering. Excellent write, thank you.
