Just maybe, they did not know they were dead,
frolicking about under the magical spell of love,
continuing to enjoy the wonderful life they lead,
the mystical power sent from the heavens above.
On this land, living could be a state of mind,
where one’s existence is merely a perception,
precisely set in motion by the passage of time,
for in this world, there are so many deceptions.
In the enigma of life, some things are so real,
while others, may be no more than an illusion,
hurt or injured, we feel the pain while we heal,
our mental state of mind borders on confusion.
Spirits roam this mystic place called earth,
each possessing a spirituality all their own,
taking on human form from the time of birth,
but within us each, the spirit is often shown.
Life might have many plateaus along the way,
as the spirit searches for contentment and love,
each step taken contributes to the coming day,
the path traveled to the serene heavens above.
