Within the dark hours of a given night,
there are times a dream will stand so bold,
a dimension of it’s own within the light,
placing your spirit in a story as it’s told.
So real it seems that you are there,
in the mist of the action and confusion,
emotions caught up in who knows where,
for the reality of the moment is an illusion.
Not understanding the enactment you envision,
yet you feel the anxiety as if it were real,
possibly it’s some sort of spiritual collision,
or maybe the result of eating too big a meal.
Some believe it’s love ones from our past,
staying close of heart with messages to bear.
dreams come and go, never seeming to last,
others believe it’s from restless minds that care.
Whatever they may be, they’re within our soul,
filled with thoughts and desires, joys and pain,
they bring a belief but often take a fearful toll,
for living is really an attempt at staying sane.
I do believe that in many of my dreams, I had been in contact with my Dad, and he was trying to tell me something. It has happened many times.
Then, I also have many other dreams that the people don't relate to me at all, it was as if I was watching a movie that runs on its own for the characters were all in 3rd persons, I don't know them. I jot down those dreams for my storytelling purposes.
A thought-provoking piece you have penned here. Thank you!
