Down through the history of time,
days of old when men were bold,
one had to fight for even a dime,
underestimating the power of gold.
Power and wealth ruled the land,
in society it propagates and breeds,
controlling the masses they stand,
bringing common folks to their knees.
Individualism is the enemy of the state,
politics always corrupts the best of men,
imprisoned, locked behind the iron gate,
cowardly, people hide in their little den.
Freedom of speech belongs to us all,
bears the cost of love ones who will die,
it’s the price of making selfish rulers fall,
perplexed never seeing, yet wondering why.
Survival of the fittest, power, and might,
combat is the course upon humanity’s path,
we must choose to fight or live in fright,
sadly, enslaved by the greedy political wrath.
