Raw Splendor


The cold ocean spray created a fine mist,
the sand softly squeaks beneath your feet,
spell bounding passion of a simple kiss,
the roaring sea, it’s essence, you finally meet.

Peering out from the shore it appears so vast,
for it seems to extend as far as the eye can see,
a constant of nature wonderment, forever to last,
placid tranquility, each day being all it can be.

Waves of white caps pound the sandy shore,
spirits, feeling in awe at such a magnificent site,
it’s as if the waves are knocking upon the door,
such mystical beauty in it’s power and might.

Sky of gray radiating with a mystical glow,
creating pastels of colors glistening in the light,
the howling wind, so fierce continues to blow,
nature’s artistry forever changing in the night.

Mighty ocean, captivating both heart and soul,
demonstrating raw splendor beyond compare,
yet a force to be reckon, always taking it’s toll
peril of the sea in elegance, all part of it’s dare.
