Within The Thunder


In the early morning light,
slowly waking from sleep,
so groggy, looking a sight,
your mind in a blurry heap.

Stretching to face the day,
reluctant to move about,
never knowing the way,
whether to scream or shout.

Decision on what to wear,
one of many you'll make,
daily moments we share,
busy with a spin and shake.

Morning filled with wonder,
as we stroll down life's path,
trying to avoid the thunder,
and be a victim of the wrath.

In this life, you take a chance,
risking the shedding of a tear,
capture the essence of a dance,
holding love, close and near.
