Burden Shared


In dawns early light,
lingering on the mind,
will the day be bright,
corridors of endless time.

Just starting a new,
baggage of the past,
hope in skies of blue,
a day to forever last.

Future, there to behold,
radiant light of the sun,
yet life’s cruel and cold,
knowing it’s never done.

Moments in the rain,
for which we atone,
hearts feel the pain,
we’re never alone.

Guidance from up above,
joys and sorrows to share,
it requires eternal love,
needing someone to care.
