It’s A Scarey Place

Life can be a scarey place,
filled with many dark fears,
not always satin and lace,
being brave hiding the tears.

Through the ages of time,
evil preys upon the soul,
fighting for what’s mine,
life takes it’s mortal toll.

To live, it must be felt,
found in joys and pain,
handling the cards dealt,
even in the pouring rain.

Flowers bloom in the field,
unable to see in the night,
can’t live behind a shield,
facing fears to make it right.

Awaking scared in the morn,
that I might crash and die,
mixed emotions and torn,
for only fate knows why.

Superior poem...shudder...very revealing of emotions.

Sam,

Thought provoking excellence. Only thing is, isn't "scarey" supposed to be "scary"? Just wondering...but the message is spot on perfection. :) Well done!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
