Treasure Lost


Wind blowing gently across the sand,
moving the earth, one grain at a time,
just one of many mysteries of this land,
beneath the warmth of the sun that shines.

Nature’s complexity completely surrounds,
everything we see, even that which we hear,
for it’s omnipotent force, forever abounds,
so fierce and fiery, something we all fear.

Yet, possessing the ageless quality of healing,
tranquility, emanating peace and compassion,
enigma of nature, is perpetual and revealing,
it’s own rapture constantly stirring the passion.

It’s so simple, yet too profound to even define,
as we wander in search of it’s secrets to learn,
discovering with all our knowledge combined,
we still have no idea what makes the world turn.

This land of enchantment, a gift from above,
our own garden of Eden, right here on earth,
given to each, to share, out of the purest of love,
society’s greed clouds it’s importance and worth.
