A Union

Such a majestic amber glow,
just a backdrop to the west,
where rivers to ocean flow,
and nightfall brings the rest.

Prismatic moment of peace,
visualized in angelic rapture,
reflecting upon a short lease,
beautiful sights are captured.

Nature consumed with power,
it controls our very essences,
so rewarding but it can devour,
just with it’s mighty presence.

Sky of blue, streaked with red,
sizzles upon the ocean vast,
artistic beauty glowingly wed,
disappears, never meant to last.

Treasure each moment in time,
they fade as soon as they’re done,
held only envisioned in the mind,
how nature and you become one.

Yep. And the thing is, by the time most of us get old enough and mature enough to appreciate what you wrote so eloquently about, our time is short. Speaking for myself, of course.

Absolute art with a wordsmith's flair and the brush of nature. Just damned awesome!
