Within the shadows of the morning light,
a sense of hope fills the new coming day,
spirits once again moving ever so bright,
searching far and near to find their way.
Morning falls burden to the sobering sun,
fading quickly into the approaching past,
for life is tough when all is said and done,
nothing of this earth is here to ever last.
Wallowing in self-pity, will take you down,
not allowing one to feel the ultimate sorrow,
survival is never found in a lonesome frown,
nor is it in the joys and hopes of tomorrow.
Peace and contentment exist in present time,
but not upon the ground or up in the fresh air,
but rather in the hearts and souls pure of mind,
waiting in essences to be discovered and share.
This world is filled with pleasure and pain,
as we travel down life’s endless windy path
up to you alone to light the forgotten flame,
and to avoid the horrors of it’s darken wrath.
Mornings have a special place for us poets and it's very interesting to read the differences in passion for mornings. Yours is a pondering of sensitive musing.
