Falter And Crash

One’s mind in a state of shock,
you’re unable to take the lead,
walking down the lonely block,
no one seems to hear the plead.

In this world, we are all alone,
lost in the haste and commotion,
for indiscretions we must atone,
traveling, constantly in motion.

If only our thoughts we shared,
rather than locked in our head,
but no one acts as if they cared,
reality is that we all end up dead.

Wandering, searching for a sign,
sadly, unable to see in the dark,
not knowing what we will find,
it’s never been a walk in the park.

Happiness, oneself must make,
the essence is gone in a flash,
without it our spirit will break,
leaving us to falter and crash.
