Instilled Without Answers


Unrequited inquiries of the mind,
people and the things they share,
obsessing the corridors of time,
wondering if anyone really cares.

Life is so real, yet make believe,
interpreted by one’s perspective,
substance in what we conceive,
never knowing if it’s a deception.

Shifting guilt for instant pleasure,
complicates the fiber of the soul,
each step we constantly measure,
not knowing what will take the toll.

Water of life flows down stream,
a gentle trickle to a mighty rage,
it could be real or just a dream,
complexity in a begotten maze.

Life entangled in love and hate,
emotions and heated passion,
nothing planned, all left to fate,
our clothes, to the latest fashion.
