The Lake


The crystal clear water of aqua blue,
cradles a mirror reflection of the sky,
translucence serenity to start a new,
there are no doubts or questions why.

Transforming the very realm of reason,
consuming one’s thoughts and desires,
it’s beauty hold through all the seasons,
hearts burn with fiery passionate fires.

Below in it’s depths, the water is cold,
fed by the springs deep within the earth,
where it radiates tranquility ever so bold,
a warm feeling we’ve long for since birth.

Nestled between the mountain’s peaks,
celestial body of water, pure and clean,
possessing the secret treasures we seek,
away from society which can be so mean.

Truly it’s a gift from the heavens above,
all the essence of splendor rolled into one,
residing with tranquility, peace, and love,
sitting upon the shore under the warm sun..
