To Each Their Own


Roaming through the seasons of time,
desperately searching to find the way,
pondering many reasons of the mind,
waking to start, yet another new day.

In this world, we just don’t understand,
begotten souls lingering in the lost city,
blinded to a life that could be so grand,
wandering endlessly filled with self-pity.

If only, one could stop, listen, and feel,
the essence of nature, which surrounds,
it is the first step in the process to heal,
for mystical wonders will surely astound.

From the endless skies of radiant blue,
to the soft moist grass, tall and so green,
where gentle hearts share love so true ,
to the air that smells so fresh and clean.

Born in darkness, bewildered since birth,
survival is an act we must each discover,
in our own way, traveling upon this earth,
peace and contentment will be uncovered.
