Accountability


Happiness can turn to sorrow,
life starts out so forever young,
turning into another tomorrow,
can’t remember when it begun.

A world of both good and bad,
daily trying our best to survive,
events sometimes turn out sad,
yet we’re thankful we are alive.

Upon the path we face a wall,
many obstacles along the way,
standing erect and forever tall,
just making it through the day.

A world filled with deception,
a constant struggle to divide,
facing the truth in perception,
for there is no place to hide.

Actions determine who we are,
choices made, become our own,
life presents itself, near and far,
for our mistakes we must atone.
