A summer shower soaked the ground,
as the warm drops of rain steadily fell,
creating a smell of freshness all around,
and a young bird hatched from it’s shell.
The air was as still as it could ever be,
the raindrops suspended in slow motion,
ever lust and green, a sight there to see,
water glistening, with it’s natural lotion.
Sun glittering, reflecting upon the grass,
a prismatic rainbow across the blue sky,
nature’s grandeur, hoping that it will last,
enjoying the wonder, without asking why.
Moments spent cherishing what is there,
one’s spirit knows what the heart desires,
stimulating contentment out of no where,
for peace and tranquility control the fires.
In this world of ours, a drop of rain will fall,
then it will pass in instant moments time,
undying question, will you or I, see it at all,
or be caught up in the illusion of our mind?
South Baltimore serves as the backdrop for this gripping story of three brothers leading very different lives but joined forever by the secrets of a painful family past.
