Prisoner of The Mind
Lonely prisoner, trapped in our own mind,
thoughts and emotions, meaningless daze,
attempting to withstand the test of all time,
spirits forever, lost in a self-serving maze.
A gentle breeze blowing across the field,
the sun reflects a glowing prismatic light,
trying to fight, without a protective shield,
fearful pressures, create an alarming fright.
Colors of the rainbow in a field of flowers,
any given day, fall prey to the pounding rain,
the ground turns to mud and soon devours,
in this life, the beauty comes with the pain.
Search the depths for the courage you lack,
footsteps weigh, leaving dents in the sand,
forever moving forward, never turning back,
to live life, we must be at one with the land.
Discover the wonder in the wind that blows,
your spirit releases a positive point of view,
one in mind and spirit, creates a natural flow,
unleashing the chains, so we can start a new.
