Within the solitude of the night,
fearful thoughts consume the soul,
flickering lights fades from sight,
as the lonely anguish takes it’s toll.
Vast emptiness seems to surround,
the loudness of silence in the dark,
trembling as the inner fear abounds,
lost, never knowing where to start.
Fear is a reality of our own mind,
often we seem to stumble and fall,
insecurities rages in passing time,
beating our heads against the wall.
Night holds a mystery of it’s own,
plaguing the cord of our very being,
for our indiscretions we must atone,
in life and death there is no fleeing.
It’s in the shadows, Spirits often hide,
in a forgotten moment from the past,
we see a mirrored reflection in the tide,
it’s essence created by the deeds we cast,
