A Grain of Sand
A single grain of sand,
in the hourglass of time,
wandering across the land,
complexity within the mind.
Stumbling in utter confusion,
self-worth can’t be bought,
caught up in society’s illusion,
forgetting our young are taught.
Life is so simple by design,
basic truths along the way,
our greed tends to confine,
bringing sadness to the day.
In a simple grain of sand,
our secrets it can often hid,
never any underlying plan,
coming and going in the tide.
Pleasure there to behold,
trusting hearts that endure,
without greed stories told,
of love’s pleasure so pure.
