And Then It’s Gone

It happens every single day,

as we each walk out the door,

for in nature, it is life’s way,

could be just going to the store.

Each breath, maybe our last,

for we just never know when,

but one day, we too, will pass,

and it could be now, or then.

Too often caught by surprise,

thinking there is plenty of time,

living in a world of compromise,

never stopping to sip the wine.

Take a moment to look around,

beauty found in Spring showers,

sights and sounds that surround,

the smell of blooming flowers.

Quality is our true measurement,

to cherish that which is bestowed,

soothing spirits inter temperament,

appreciating that which we behold.
