Last Star of the Morning
Morning star appears alone in the sky,
twinkling with it’s ever fading light,
wonders of the Universe know not why,
gone the magical splendor of the night.
New day challenges we must all face,
though the unknown is filled with fear,
it was never meant to be satin and lace,
moving forward in spite of painful tears.
Blue skies hold our dreams of treasures,
wandering, pursuing insight since birth,
riches discovered but can’t be measured,
found in the mystical land of this earth.
Spirit speak in the howling of the wind,
a spoken hush one can really only feel,
imprints left from love and next of kin,
of good and evil and the power of will.
Star of the morning twinkles with hope,
giving us strength to survive another day,
filled with courage and the tools to cope,
helping each one of us to find the way.
