Music Plays


Thoughts and desires set the day apart,
what is, and what was, never to change,
ideas and wants bring forth new starts,
life’s highway is always changing lanes.

Not knowing the person deep inside,
each day is a discovery of our being,
feelings of the heart and mind provide,
while forces of time are forever fleeing.

Our passion is consumed with desire,
while compassion is filled with hope,
but together sparking an emotional fire,
giving ingredients needed for us to cope.

The art of living is nestled in our emotions
which creates tension, both highs and lows,
yet bringing forth a stability and a devotion,
where our raw inner raging feelings do flow.

Our passion and compassion infuse as one,
a virtuous intimacy of one’s soul and mind,
transcending harmony where there is none,
all the while the music plays to endless time.
