When I Die
When I die, shed not a tear,
For death is part of life and not to fear.
It has been a wondrous adventure
filled with love and those I hold dear.
I lived from day to day,
always doing it just my way.
Constantly learning from knowledge gained
through experience and yes, even the pain.
For it was from the shadows of the hard times,
that precious moments bestowed a radiant shine
filled with the strength and joy of loving hearts
conquering the obstacles and all their parts.
When I die, I don't want a service of mourning,
for you see, for me it is, but a new dawning.
Spread my ashes in the lake nestled in the mountains above,
for there is where I'll wait for my soulmate, my Love.
Life brought us together where we enjoyed all of God's creations,
strengthen by our love and it's magnificent sensations.
I have no regrets, anger, or pain,
just my love forever burning brightly as an eternal flame.
"When I die, I don't want a service of mourning,
for you see, for me it is, but a new dawning.
Spread my ashes in the lake nestled in the mountains above,
for there is where I'll wait for my soulmate, my Love. "
I echo these sentiments, Samuel. Thank you for this offering. Love and peace to you. Regis

That is so true. I've often told my mother that if I die at a young age, she must hold a party for me, because they need to be so glad that I'm out of pain and now in Heaven (hopefully!) What a wonderous write that only a brave soul could endure. Wonderful!
