"Madaity"
Listen to the sound of talk,
Within the darkness of the misty night,
For alone, through the narrow streets, I walk,
Afraid to turn, not knowing, if it's right.
Beneath the lights of the city, I stand,
In the dark, confused and sad,
For where shall I turn, I am but a man?
To live a life so true , and do the best I can.
The world today, shall be tomorrow,
Yet in this world, it’s not for me to own,
For what shall I do to prevent so much sorrow?
I am but a man, yet I must be shown.
Lights upon the city are growing dim,
In the dark, why can’t one see,
For my head aches, shaking every limb,
Man, I must be, if not for me, for thee.
Settling my being on the shadow ground,
I looked to the Heavens high in the sky,
Geometrically perfect, with gliding stars all around,
And wonder, if my soul shall rest before I die?
Listen to the sound of talk,
As meaningless, as it maybe,
For life can be erased as easy as chalk,
Thus learning and living is what I want for me.
But stars upon the sky, tell me how one learns,
To live free, from all absurdities,
For where’s the right road for which to turn,
Bringing my soul to rest in eternity?
