Beneath the sky of pastels of blue,
upon the land in endless search,
we seek to find the unknown truth,
the reason for our existence since birth.
Each experience which unfolds expands our mind,
we come to learn life is short and will not last,
the days seem to pass in the history of time,
yet we can not stray from destiny’s path.
A gentle breeze, under the warmth of the sun,
grass of green, the fragrance of the flowers,
children laughing before the day is done,
signs of the beauty which winds away the hours.
Yet we do not see, nor heed to the need,
totally consumed in materialistic goals,
loss within the shadows not recognizing the deed,
our misconceptions bringing sadness to our souls.
If only we could pause along the way,
to see what is, not what we want it to be,
the truth might just unfold before the end of the day,
in a ray of beauty, created for you and me.
Sameul, I am astounded by your beautifully written words through poetry. It was like a song whispered by a young child with a forlorn-like hum. I really liked this.
