There it is again...
caught offguard...
sharp hurtful pain...
what caused this...
no known source...
timidly I search...
exact orgin unknown...
excrutiating pain...
gripping my soul...
dear Lord...
why me...
I search for ...
tiny splinter's...
fragments...
causing exteme misery...
day after day...
blindly searching...
I stumble...
upon a miniature...
particle of my despair...
with surgeon's skill..
I remove ...
an offending intruder...
piercing my body...
blackening my soul...
drugging my mind...
pain free at last...
until the next splinter.
Good Morning, Ms.Elliot
I like this write very much, actually I think it is exceptional. We all get splinters, it is the severe slashes that do the most damage. I like your style too!!
Like a surgeon you remove your particle of pain. Wow! This one is so great!

Nicely done. I love the imagery. Would suggest correcting possessives...with apostrophes.

A splinter of pain, a splinter of sorrow. Many splinters crash into our world and lives. So hard to handle all of them and hurting when each one touches your heart. What an undestanding write. Understanding pain that is in all our lives. Bill
